This is a busy weekend in the Concert Hall with concerts tomorrow and Sunday nights. Vocal music fans will be pleased to know that both of this weekend’s concerts will feature accomplished vocalists performing varied repertory.

One of Drew’s own voice professors, Adjunct Professor of Music, Angelika Nair, will be giving a concert tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall. “Pasticcio: From Earth to Heaven” will feature works by J.S. Bach, Berlioz, Mahler, Offenbach, and Rossini. Nair, a mezzo soprano, will be accompanied by Drew’s Adjunct Professor of Music David Iskowitz on piano. This concert is sure to please anyone with an interest in choral music and admission is free to be sure to catch it.

Sunday night at 7 p.m. Drew alumni Rachel Schacter and Dana Kemper will be giving their concert entitled “Love Thou Art Best”. This recital of early music will feature works by Hildegaard, Monteverdi, and Purcell. Schacter and Kemper will be accompanied by Alexander Johnson on harpsichord and Catherine Slowik on viola de gamba. Sponsored by the Music Department, Comparative Religion Department, and Baldwin Honors Program, this concert will be a great showcase of Baroque music that is not to be missed. Admission is free.
