The Drew University cross country team concluded its 2017 season at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships on Saturday, November 11.

The women’s team recorded a  41st place finish overall, while individually, Mollie Ankrom (’21) led the rankings for the Rangers, completing 6,000 meters with a time of 27:04.6, which earned her a 216th place finish. Lisa Rojas (’18) earned a 229th place with a time of 27:44.8, Violet Kimble (’21) earned a 248th place finish with a time of 29:02.8. Emily Rosales (’19) and Zoe Camp (‘18) rounded out the finishers; Rosales earned a 275th place finish with a time of 35:49.2, and Camp, who finished right behind Rosales, took 276th place with a time of 37:12.3. This noteworthy feat by the Ranger women becomes even more commendable, as all the members of the team set season-best records over the course of the competition.

On the men’s side, Christian Parenti (’19) was the Rangers’ top finisher, as he recorded a time of 28:09.9 in the 8000-meter race, earning himself a 192nd place finish. Parenti was followed by Anatole Colbert (’19), who earned a 254th place finish with a time of 30:32.4, Tiago Dos Santos (’18), who earned a 276th place finish with a time of 32:39.8 and Nick Smale (’19), who earned a 280th place finish with a time of 33:06.2.
